Урок по теме «Защита окружающей среды» (7 класс)

Тип урока: Урок обобщения, систематизации знаний по теме.

Цели урока:

Обучающие: систематизировать лексические, грамматические знания и совершенствовать речевые умения и навыки учащихся по теме «Защита окружающей среды».

Развивающие: развивать способности (логически излагать содержание высказывания, формулировать выводы по прочитанному материалу, самостоятельной работы).

Воспитательные: формировать (уважительное отношение к природе, чувство сопричастности к проблемам экологии, любовь и бережное отношение к окружающей среде).

Оборудование: индивидуальные листы с текстом и с заданиями по теме «Защита окружающей среды»; учебник Кауфман К.И., Кауфман М.Ю. “Happy English.ru” для 7 класса; Презентация “How do you treat the Earth?”

^ ХОД УРОКА

I. Организационный момент.

– Good morning, girls and boys. Sit down, please.

1) Сообщение темы, цели и задач урока.

The theme of today’s lesson is “Environmental Protection”. The problem of our lesson is the global situation in ecology and what can we do with it. We are going to discuss and solve the problems of ecology and environmental protection.

Look at the blackboard, please. The epigraph of our lesson is “If you don’t think about the future you will not have it” by John Golsworthy

II. Речевая зарядка.

- Тренировка лексических единиц по теме “Environmental Protection”. (лексика в презентации)

– Listen to the poem very attentively and try to understand who says: Don’t kill us!

Today we are still in your forests,

In the sky, in the rivers, but look:

Don’t kill us! Because your children

Will see us in picture books.

- Let’s read this poem once again. And try to answer the question.

III. Актуализация знаний, полученных на предыдущих уроках.

Закрепление лексического материала путем выбора из текста необходимой информации, ответы на вопросы.

The Earth is our home but much of it is dirty and dying. Rapid industrial development caused a lot of ecological problems. They are: air pollution, water pollution, growth of population and shortage of mineral resources.

Air becomes polluted in many ways. Cars, trucks, buses, airplanes, factories and plants send burnt gases into the air. The production of electricity causes not only air pollution but acid rains and global warming. Because of acid rains the Earth looses twenty million acres of tropical rainforests every year. This means the extinction of thousands of species that live there, for example tigers. Only 67 thousand tigers remain. Tigers are hunted and killed for their body parts, which are used in oriental medicines. The ozone layer is destroyed too and the dangerous rays get through the atmosphere causing skin cancer and other diseases.

We need clean air to breathe and pure water to drink. We need also food that is safe to eat and housing to shelter us. We can’t get all these things by ourselves. We live in community so we can solve our problems only working together. Russia is co-operating in the field of environmental protection with the USA, Canada, Norway, Finland and other countries. A lot of public organizations have been established. One of them is Green Peace which was formed in 1971 with its Head-quarters in Amsterdam. The area of operation is 25 countries world-wide. Its objectives are to protect wild life and atmosphere, to prevent disposal of toxic waste and nuclear tests.

– Read the text and now I want to know how well you understand it. Read the following titles and choose a name for the story.

2) Развитие умения монологической речи, контроль правильности использования лексического материала в монологе.

- Read and choose an answer. There are no direct answers in the text.

3) Контроль правильности использования лексического и грамматического материала на письме и в речи.

- Tell me please, when we use the construction used to and give the example. Look at the cards. Complete the sentences with the words in brackets. Use the construction used to. (карточки на столах)

1. The air (be good), the sun (shine) and it (be) warm. 2. They (sleep) in the tents on the ground. 3. They (cook) their food on the campfire. 4. They (pick) berries and mushrooms. 5. They (swim) in the river.

- Look to the blackboard and say what happened with our planet:

- The nature is polluted by people.

- The water is polluted by factories.

- The air in the cities is polluted with the transports and factories;

- The birds, animals and fishes are killed by people;

- There is much rubbish everywhere.

- ^ You must know some facts. We must reuse, reduce and recycle some products. Why?

Why must we recycle, reuse glass, paper? Do you know? It is interesting to know. (слайд презентации)

So how can you help the environment? Look at the blackboard and give your ideas. - We mustn’t pollute the water. - We mustn’t kill the fish. - We mustn’t cut down trees. - We mustn’t drop litter. - We mustn’t leave campfire. - We must recycle paper, tins, food and glass. - We mustn’t kill animals for clothes. - We must sort our rubbish. - We must use public transport because cars pollute atmosphere. - We must always turn water off.

What will we do if the environment will be not polluted:

We will breathe clean air. We will drink clean water. The animals and birds will not die. The forests will be clean.

IV. Заключительный этап.

1) Подведение итогов урока. - So I hope you liked our today’s lesson. What did you do at the lesson? - What conclusions did you come to at the end of our lesson?

2) Выставление оценок. - I am very satisfied with your work today. Your marks for today’s lesson are … and marks for understanding the text nature will give to you. And nature will give you marks when you show your attitude to it and write your promise to it.

3) Домашнее задание. - Please, open your diaries and put down your home task. And you, children, what do you recycle at home, in your family? Write at home about it and learn new words.
